Questa volta a differenza del precedente capitolo la campagna \u00e8 incentrata sugli Zerg e non pi\u00f9 sui Terran. Il motore grafico \u00e8 stato migliorato ed \u00e8 stato affiancato anche da un motore fisico, introdotte nuove funzionalit\u00e0 specialmente sui replay come la possibilit\u00e0 di guardarlo insieme ad altri giocatori e poterne prendere il comando per qualsiasi momento.
